Personal

  1. Set some goals - Achieved 4/5 (I think it’s a good measure, setting boundaries to prevent burnout)

  2. I developed unshakable trust in myself by going through some losses in my personal life.

  3. Realised I have more courage than I give myself credit for.

  4. My family has been my strength and didn’t know I had such incredible friends. I am grateful for both.

  5. Ran 10K in Nice, FR. Knee held up, love the strength my body has and what it can do. Will push for more.

  6. I got myself an apartment in Marais, closer to work and somewhere I had dreamed of living for a long while.

  7. Traveled to Nice, Monaco, Turkey, and India. Met some people who have altered how I think and inspired me to dream bigger, and bolder ( It’s amazing what it does to you when you surround yourself with people who are where you want to be in the future)

  8. Saw the test of my character and values. I pride on how much I’ve matured and grown over this year. Am humbled how much I am yet to learn, cognizant of Dunning–Kruger effect. Allowed myself ample doses of self-acceptance.

  9. Cherished the time I got to spend with my grandparents as an adult. My grandma is pretty cool and badass, love her outlook, values, and stories.

  10. Flew my Parents out to Paris and showed them around my home, city and south of France. Experienced joy of giving and I can’t wait for them to have more such adventures.

  11. Got my dream job.

Learning

  1. Started doing Yoga and can now do a headstand. Personal achievement! Took me 5 weeks.

  2. Started learning about Quantum computing (still touching the surface, long way to go)

  3. Built some AI Agents, the world is moving faster than I ever thought and technology will replace jobs. We’re living in the future.

  4. Learned more about leadership, and setting expectations, experienced chaos at work, accomplished a lot as a team, built an amazing relationship with my Tech lead and Tech team, best tag team, worked with another product person, and had a new perspective comparing work, accomplished a good $$ value for the topline etc

  5. Learned to ask for help and rely on people emotionally. Developed more empathy and that led to deeper conversations and connections.

  6. Read 4 books in December that were transforming: Like the Flowing River, Unposted Letters, Norwegian Wood, and Fragments.

  7. Got a camera and started my new hobby in photography!

  8. Recognized and experienced firsthand patriarchy & misogyny, and spoke up against it.

  9. My Misogi Challange for this year: Started this website, don’t know how much of myself I want to put online (perhaps I’ll scale back on the public posts, a decision for another day)

  10. I can’t stand noisy places/cafes/restaurants and learned to distance myself from them. My noise-cancelling headphones are my constants.

  11. Gathered feedback and iterated on good questions, reflection, and understood labeling to improve my conversations.

Frameworks

  1. Watched way less television and outsourced cooking because I assigned a monetary value to my time. Example: I imagine my hourly worth at $600 an hour. I ask myself what’s worth $600. Watching a TV show? Absolutely not. (GoT was 70 hours so it would cost me $42,000 to watch) This allowed me to create more content and learn more. I still find ways to waste my time, but it’s more intentional now. We only strive for perfection yes?

  2. Regret minimization framework: Used it, loved it.

  3. Whole body yes: Intuition, learning to trust in navigating uncertainty, patience, right brain exercises.
