Models for Success

My little wins and losses in life have come from grit and tenacity.

This and observing people led me to identify the Success Paradox:

People pursue success in a way guaranteed to prevent it. Chasing certainty and prescribed paths don’t work in real-world environments.

3 Success Insights that changed my life

1) The true cost of perfectionism isn’t failure, it’s missed opportunity: While you polish V1, someone is getting feedback on 0.5. Get out of planning mode & put yourself out there.

2) Success comes from Reverse engineering and not following someone’s path/prescriptions. I've spent hundreds of hours studying other people’s success, studying their career paths on LinkedIn, and asking people why they made certain decisions.

3) Persistence isn’t a virtue: Quitting strategically offers profound benefits, persist in the right direction with laser focus. Be great at starting things and be excellent at quitting things that don’t serve your larger vision.
